About Amy

Amy is a musculoskeletal physiotherapist with a specialist interest in women’s and pelvic health. She treats a broad range of MSK conditions across the Altius Hale, Manchester, and Brooklands clinics, but it is her growing expertise in pelvic health — including pre and postnatal care, pelvic floor dysfunction, and core rehabilitation — that makes her a particularly valuable part of the Altius team.

Amy is qualified in APPI Matwork Pilates and uses Pilates-based rehabilitation extensively in her clinical work, both in private one-to-one sessions and group classes. She teaches a regular Pilates class at Bowdon Hockey Club, where she is also establishing a physiotherapy clinic — combining her interest in team sporting environments with her commitment to helping individuals recover and perform.

Amy is currently launching a women’s health clinic at HCA Portland’s Hospital in Hale, providing specialist pre and postnatal physiotherapy within a dedicated outpatient hospital setting. This means patients needing antenatal and postnatal care can access Amy’s expertise both through Altius and through the hospital pathway.

Conditions Amy treats

  • Women’s and pelvic health — pelvic floor dysfunction, incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic girdle pain, and diastasis recti. Amy provides thorough assessment and structured rehabilitation programmes for all stages of life, not just pregnancy-related conditions
  • Pre and postnatal care — pregnancy-related pain, antenatal preparation, postnatal recovery, return to exercise after birth, and Mummy MOT assessments
  • Sports injury rehabilitation — assessment, treatment and return-to-sport programmes for a range of musculoskeletal injuries
  • Post-surgical recovery — structured rehabilitation following orthopaedic and gynaecological surgery
  • Core and pelvic floor strengthening — targeted programmes using clinical Pilates for patients recovering from injury, surgery, or pregnancy

Treatments Amy offers

Amy delivers manual therapy, shockwave therapy, clinical Pilates (one-to-one and group classes), and tailored exercise rehabilitation. Her treatment approach is hands-on and practical, with a focus on building strength, confidence, and long-term resilience rather than short-term symptom management.
