Altius Healthcare’s “SitStrong” Programme in partnership with Bruntwood
Back in 2017, Altius Healthcare partnered with commercial property specialists Bruntwood to deliver corporate well-being solutions. The aim is to offer relaxing and rehabilitative solutions helping businesses reduce levels of stress, anxiety, lethargy as well as mental health in the workplace. This can be achieved through physiotherapy, holistic and sports massage, injury rehabilitation, Yoga, Pilates plus a number of exercise classes by our registered and qualified team.
In early January 2018, Altius Healthcare launched solutions with various initiatives through our signature #AltiusHCSitStrong programme. We visited a number of companies throughout Trafford House, providing employees with ten minute chair massage. For some companies, Doug delivered his “SitStrong” presentation, which aims to undo what a sedentary lifestyle or prolonged sitting does to the spine and body posture.
Altius Healthcare offers practical tips rather than clinical examinations on how to improve areas of imbalance and performance, reducing the risk or recurrence of injury, all with these key points to consider:
- All major private health insurance considered
- Locally based, in-house rehabilitation solutions
- Therapeutic Solutions; physiotherapy, sports massage and specialised exercises
- Injury Rehab specialists; bringing sports specific treatments to the corporate world
- Unique solutions to undo sedentary life / prolonged sitting
- Service excellence, honesty and innovative assessments
Located in the old DVLA building near the Bishops Blaize pub, the building underwent extensive renovations, with a completely new ground floor plan. The new amenities include an extensive breakout area, soft furnishings as well as an impressive boardroom and various hot desking solutions.
In the fitness suite, the Altius Healthcare team carry out weekly classes. These range from “Chair Shaped Yoga” delivered by Hayley Henderson on Mondays, “Fitness Robustness” by John Rochford on Wednesdays and “Pilates” by Anna Jones on Fridays. The start time for these classes are 1230, lasting 45 minutes.
Alongside this, Altius Healthcare will be running various clinics from Monday through to Friday during working hours. The clinical room can be located the other side of the boardroom, although it is always best to knock before entering, in case a treatment is in progress. These can be booked through the online booking system via reception, and is on a first come, first served basis.
